Feel Better Healthcare recognises that bringing your loved one in-store is not always easy, so we created a showroom that can come to you – fully equipped with easy access ramps to allow for mobility issues, air conditioning and enough room for everyone on board.
Our mobile showroom can comfortably hold 2 different Hi-Lo adjustable beds with multiple mattresses, or a lift chair and a Hi-Lo adjustable bed. We can also take the equipment out of the van if needed. We set up a trial bed that is as close to how it will be in your bedroom, complete with sheets and pillows.
At your trial, we discuss each component to improve your sleep and we take the time to go through your options. Beginning with the adjustable bed base, height adjustment, how low the bed needs to go, and transferring from a wheelchair. We then turn to hoists, positioning of the grab rails and monkey bars, to help you enter and exit your bed safely and deciding if you need additional support rails to keep you safe while sleeping. We discuss options like a Joystick controller to operate your bed, voice activation, and using your mobile phone with a smartphone app to control your bed.
Mattress selection is essential for your comfort and pain relief. Choosing a mattress with solid edge support will help with transfers in and out of bed. We can also supply a hoist, so you and your OT can see how your transfer will be into your new bed and for this we stock the Australian-made KCare Multi-Electric Lifter and the Ezy-Lift. We will even look at pillows and sheets and continence care. There are many things to consider, and working as a team with you and your OT makes it possible to find the best fit.
Feel Better has the Australian-made Transfer Easy Electric Lift & Recline Chair, available in 4 sizes with different fabric choices, heat and/or massage, and weight ratings. Because we source our chairs in Australia, they can have custom-made features, like a RoHo cushion, or left and right side-arm removal, plus we can make slight adjustments to the design of the chair. Another option is the Ambassador 300kg Lift & Recline Chair. All our lift chairs are made in Australia and are licensed to bear the Australian Made logo, the most recognised and trusted product symbol in Australia.
