Slings

Our slings are designed to give support in those areas where body control and muscle tone are reduced. There are different types and sizes of slings available, and selecting the most suitable sling for your client will ensure their safety and improve their comfort during transfer. Able to fit any model from the Birdie Evo Hoist Range, these slings are also available in either fabric or mesh material and come in a broad range of sizes for your convenience.

Description

Universal Slings

  • All-round slings for everyday patient handling routines.
  • Universal High: Supports the whole body, including the head. Suitable for those with limited control of the head, trunk and hips. Can be used for transfers from a lying position, lifting from the floor and seated to seated transfers. Available in either Fabric or Mesh: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
  • Universal Standard: Supports the whole body, including the shoulders. Suitable for those with good head control. Can be used for transfers from a lying position, lifting from the floor and seated to seated transfers. Available in either Fabric or Mesh: XS, S, M, L, XL

Hygiene Slings

  • Wide opening to facilitate toileting and easy to apply.
  • Hygiene Low: Suitable for those with hip, trunk and head control. Belt offers increased support around the body and safe positioning. Can be used for seated to seated transfers. Available in Fabric: XS, S, M, L, XL
  • Hygiene High: Same feature set as the Hygiene Low sling but comes with a head support for those with reduced head control. Available in Fabric: XS, S, M, L, XL

Comfort Slings

  • Hammock style slings, ideally suited to those with chronic pain. The sling is also useful for above-the-knee amputees.
  • Comfort High: Supports the whole body, including the head. Suitable for those with limited control of the head, trunk & hips. Includes well-positioned handles. Available in either Fabric or Mesh: S, M, L, XL

Assistive Slings

  • Stand Assist: Suitable for clients with some weight bearing ability but cannot stand independently. Client should be coherent, have good body and head control. Well-padded for extra comfort. Comes with a non-slip material on the back. Available in Fabric: S, M, L, XL
  • Transfer Stand Assist: Same feature set as the Stand Assist sling but comes with additional leg support. Available in Fabric: S, M, L, XL

Pivot Slings

  • Suitable for Pivot frame
  • General Purpose: Suitable for Pivot Frame, with head support. Available in Fabric: S, M, L
  • Pivot Hygiene: Suitable for Pivot Frame, with a wide opening to facilitate toileting. Available in Fabric: S, M, L
